Manichean Monks
Mishmash of furious Manichean monks
eponymous rulers of this indigenous nexus
credo of serendipitous peace and harmony
disrupted by an extraordinary calico dragon
seeking a satisfying meal of human haggis
attempts to monetize a friendship failed
depolarization of decisions and morale forgotten
a desperate battle for our survival ensues
hopes and prayers rest with protectors
our holy monks valiant bravery wins the day
monstrous dragon is thwarted and driven away-Poem by Dragon Blogger

The Dragon and The Knight
A glint of light off an emerald scale
a tooth the color of amber
an eye so bright and full of intellect
a horn the color of obsidianyou stand there knees wobbly
about to fall and plead for life
realizing you stand no chance
you say your prayers and wait for the finishInstead of suffering you are granted mercy
the great beast decides to speak
to what do I owe this presence
and why do you appear so weak? You explain your intentions that you were for hire
the people need protection from his great fire
but you realize you made a mistake
believing a rumor which turned out to be fakeYou simple knight of no great honor
I will spare you a life if you can do just this thing
learn to have faith and not believe not the other
you can’t always judge a book by its coverSo just like that the beast had set me free
and it was then I realized its full majesty
here was a being who could not be evil
and I vowed that day to become a better knight-Poem by Dragon Blogger
