A stormy scandalous novel written
more than a few cataglottism moments
romance between an empress and a eunuch
a subtle plot with a twisted ending
one month anniversary of its submission
publisher’s letter is begging to be opened
jittery, as nervous as a confronted womanizer
dosage of adrenaline coursing through veins
onomatopoeia like squeal escaping your lips
you plunge right in and face the outcome
hopes festoon in the contents of a torn envelope
phonetic juxtapose letters optimistic and promising
justifying your raison d’etre after all
did you hallucinate what you inferred
or discombobulate the message some way
heretic fear melting to stark euphoria
as welcome as any Valentine surprise
you pop the cork from the champagne bottle
and toast your first successful publication-Poem by Dragon Blogger

15 Dec 2009
Palace Guard is a poem inspired by the royal guards of England who just stand outside the palace gates, and includes 23 random words (in blue) which is the highest number contributed to the random twitter poetry game so far to date.
Thanks to the following twitter followers for joining the game today:
@purple_froggy (candy cane), @GeB0i (lineate), @Jan_Geronimo (moo), @JeffHicks (olive), @drdon911 (rapport), @AnneOnline (mafioso), @Kowboyfromhell (vanity), @KathrynVercillo (acceptance), @or1gb1u3 (pirate), @DaneBlogger (Denmark), @TrinaMb (garland), @JenaIsle (borborygmus), @coffeetablepoet (inanimate), @cupcakes5 (Bethlehem), @LStephenCleary (serendipity), @blusol (serendipitous), @dreamon51 (conquer), @shonie1966 (automatically), @sinned24 (express), @amy4669 (ominous), @Piratelover22 (clandestine), @joshuaarnao (thesis), @filigreegirl (navigational)Palace Guard
Standing there confident as if full of vanity
like some ominous inanimate mafioso or pirate
with serendipitous clandestine intentions to conquer
pristine uniform the colors of a worn candy cane
olive belt wrapping around your chest like garland
quickly you lineate your sword scabbard
the regal Prince of Denmark approaches
salute automatically triggers as you express respect
commitment as if you were defending Bethlehem herself
yet he passes you without the slightest rapport
and your salute as meaningful as a moo from a cow
secretly cursing him a navigational mishap
you resume your post with a slight fatigue
simple acceptance of the hunger induced borborygmus
serendipity soon to be found with the end of your shift
no thesis of interest will ever be written you reckon
about the routine life of a royal palace guard-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Utopian Future

Utopian Future
In the far reaches of time and space
A utopia exists, a very special place
Timeless people in an ageless location
Peace and tranquility in one great nationVery warm and very welcoming
A place to start a new beginning
Hopes and dreams actually come true
This place I seem when I dream of youAll things don’t have to be so complex
This place is a blessing and not a hex
Let you heart and mind go free
This world at large you will seeGood and kindness exist at no cost
The future hope for mankind is not lost
Belief and action are all it will take
We need to change all of our lives are at stakePoem by Dragon Blogger

Political Trust – Random Twitter Poem for Dec 1st

01 Dec 2009
Political Trust is a poem about the cut throat savage nature of politicians (at least the stereotype). It speaks of the two faced nature of publicly being friendly only to savagely steal someones chair or seat. Inspired by the 12 random words provided by the following twitter followers:
@yellow0211 (trust), @urbancrafter (calumny), @Jan_Geronimo (disembowel), @blusol (progressive), @LilPecan (ancillary), @Sarah_Bush (effervescent), @cupcakes5 (pleasantries), @buddawiggi (mahalo), @purple_froggy (postal), @Heerlijktaartje (stardust), @elizasea (maudlin), @barbehr (incredulous)[powerpress image="http://www.wandererthoughts.com/images/wandererthoughts300.jpg"]
Political Trust
Effervescent incredulous stardust pleasantries
hiding behind vicious verbal calumny
intention to politically disembowel
ancillary maudlin speakers fall prey
as progressive agendas rise and fall
postal greetings sent by the unfriendly
seats dry without the slightest mahalo
there is no trust with politicians-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Android Bazaar – Random Twitter Poem for Nov 30th
- twitter poems
-
30 Nov 2009
Android Bazaar was partly inspired by the Star Wars movies with Watto’s bazaar being in mind when I wrote the poem. It was inspired by the 12 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@Jemfyr (bazaar), @Piratelover22 (callous), @geb0i (hex), @RemBeatZ (Androids), @filigreegirl (Rilke), @JenaIsle (attenuated), @TrinaMb (debut), @shonie1966 (domestic), @portcitypoetry (fatal), @Sakariwrites (isle), @blusol (contrived), @KathrynVercillo (courteous)Android Bazaar
Contrived courteous bargaining begins
dark isle of androids and hex gadgets purveyed
callous verbal bartering attenuated by a discount
seething imagery more vivid than any Rilke verse
a new domestic model makes its debut today
fatal bidding wars leave more than scars
all this and more can be found here daily
at the place known as the android bazaar-Poem by Dragon Blogger
