29 May 2009
Today’s random twitter poem was inspired by the recent national spelling be, and I managed to work in these 12 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers below:
@RemBeatZ (longer), @AnnEvanston (strategy), @JenaIsle (fenestrae), @anefallarme (obscure), @VirginIncVuture (supercalifragilisticexpialidocious), @evliving (Sinuosity), @SurfCityJay (methane), @worryknot (inexorable), @heatherpro (unexpected), @Peter_Nehem (platypus), @shaboom (fitfully), @MaestroFM (Le Tigre)
The Last Contestant
The strategy simple
obscure and deceive
a contest of witsThe longer the game plays
odds of winning increase
another contest failsClear as the fenestrae on butterfly wings
our challenge is presented before you
the speaker utters the commandSpell “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”
inexorable shock at the unexpected challenge
confidence dissolving like methane vaporYou face the unexpected sinuosity
a word as unique as a platypus
you begin spelling audiblyNothing but suspenseful silence as you wait
then the crowd starts fitfully clapping
louder than a Le Tigre concert-Poem by Dragon Blogger
