Like a hollow shell
a husk cast from a dead seed
my ghost whispers her nameFor the love we once had
a pair of ethereal tears
a phantom heart that cannot break
my ghost whispers her nameThe wrongs I have done
the damned rights I have wronged
eternal torment is my comfort
and my ghost whispers her name-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Lost Without You
Where would I be in the desert sands?
a grain buried beneath the windWhere would I be in the vast blue sea?
light cannot penetrate the deepWhere would I be in the darkness of space?
no star to shine upon meWhere would I be without my compass?
I am lost without you-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Broken Spell – Random Twitter Poem for August 24th
- twitter poems
-
24 Aug 2009
Today’s twitter poem is about a lover who was deceived and used, only to have no regrets, for it is better to have loved and lost than ever loved at all. This poem was inspired by the 14 random words (in blue) provided by the twitter people below:
@Zorlone (spell), @lionlambluv (disgraced), @concisionflux (bamboozlement), @SurfCityJay (chaos), @augustday1962 (Isabella), @jazzzyone (finesse), @anefallarme (reconciliation), @nitinbarman (abhorent), @shemah (incompetent), @ryjr (insomnia), @RemBeatZ (fitness), @@PowerJourneys (circumcise), @LisiSilveira (free), @ArunBasilLal (Concertina)Broken Spell
She had more majesty than Queen Isabella herself
full of fitness and finesse with every step
the cure for so many insomnia plagued nights
only to cause this abhorent moment you endureYou stand tormented in a chaos of disbelief
her professed love only a bamboozlement
now just a disgraced, discarded play thing
an incompetent attempt at love that endsNo reconciliation exists for your heart
only solution is to circumcise the love
set free from what you thought was true
sounds of discord from a broken concertinaIn the end it was her magic spell of seduction
worth it all, even if claimed for a brief moment
for she was a different creature entirely
and one you would never know again.-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Today’s poem was inspired by the 11 random words provided (in blue) and tells a tale of a man eager to meet a woman who he had loved since high school. Thanks to the following twitter followers for playing:
@SurfCityJay (yearbook), @RemBeatZ (motivated), @tocco (chocolate), @Zorlone (twilight), @shemah (princess), @lejonprime (perspicacity), @ThisIsBob (obsequiousness), @purplefrogcat (sunburnt), @anefallarme (Instability), @imjstsayin (delightful), @ashchuan (wolf)
Reunited Love
Seeing her picture in our high school yearbook
I couldn’t help myself, I just had to lookNow I was motivated more than ever
To pick up the phone and just call herBut how would she be, after all these years
Would she be married, I uncovered my fearsI dialed the phone, my nerves beyond instability
Amazed that my fingers worked and had the agilityMy skin felt sunburnt as my blood rushed
At first just silence, her voice was hushedLike a wolf howling at the moon in accompaniment
Shaking, I could barely contain my excitementWith a perspicacity that was astounding
I could hear her audibly rememberingShe was pleasantly shocked alright
But she agreed to meet me tonightI waited now with chocolate and flowers
Just passing the time, counting the hoursI rush to the place where we set to meet
Moving so fast I nearly tripped over my feetMy heart stopped, she looked like a princess
And all I wanted to do was give her a kissWhen she saw me, a most delightful smile appeared
A frog in my throat, my greeting came out weirdWith a gesture that was obsequiousness
I shook her hand with a lingering caressI knew then that for the rest of my life
From morning to twilight she would be my wife-Poem by Dragon Blogger
