Last Great Battle
The great equalizer of Ragnarok
valor tested of unicorns and men alike
demons of greed and destruction besieging
blood stains grass like spilled coffee
screams twitter a harmonious intonation
exhausted as battle fatigue sets in
another ally tossed like a tumbleweed
captivated horror as his body crumbles
agog free spirits die this day
heavens reentry a last reward
at the last great battle-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Today’s poem is another story type poem about a Lumberjack who cuts into a magical tree. It is inspired by the 15 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter folks:
@kateblogs (sunshine), @Zorlone (Gesundheit), @RemBeatZ (conjunctions), @SurfCityJay (rhythm), @concisionflux (phobophobia), @filigreegirl (intaglio), @santasdevil (lumberjack), @anefallarme (employment), @dreamon51 (burl), @JenaIsle (apoptosis), @xlifegames (peace), @rockalong (clambake), @SusanBerland (blasphemy), @wishinghearts (late), @hectica (blunted)Heart of the Tree
Sunshine and a slight breeze
lumberjack laboring late in the day
employment disturbing nature’s peace
conjunctions of trunk and saw blade
cutting short the tree’s normal apoptosisA sudden interruption
perhaps stuck against a burl
quick attempts to cut further denied
instead the tool is torn free
blade blunted and teeth brokenA cloud of sawdust
the burly man violently sneezes
nature mocking with a silent gesundheit
when the dust settles something seen
in the center of the treeA glimmering green
shines from within the cut
some sort of intaglio stuck in there
as hard as an oyster shell at a clambake
the man stumbles backwardFear sets in
as if suffering from phobophobia
the light begins to fade
as if it were a dying heart
beating its last rhythmWhat blasphemy had he done?
terminated some vegetation deity?
or just some abnormal plant
whichever the case that day
he never cut another tree-Poem by Dragon Blogger

What was to be a landmark anniversary
celebrating a judicious wedding this day
interrupted at its zenith unexpectedly
by a woman dressed in the robes of an oracleAn audacious woman, patience depleted
and like a spoiled royal duchess
deprived of her noon lunch
started spewing malaprop and revileHer lamprophony echoed across the hall
suddenly impossibilities started occurring
flashes and fire exploded from her fingertips
crowds took flight as equilibrium went spinningThe mystical exaltation subsequently ended
with the witch casting one final spell
the celebrating couple petrified in plain sight
their love encased in eternal stoneThe chaos and confusion creating a twitter storm
fact and fiction blurred when reaching the world
now people pay visit each and every day and listen
to the history and conundrum of the royal lover statues-Poem by Dragon Blogger
What do you think of my 200th Twitter Poem, leave me some feedback. Honestly, myself I read the poem back to myself several times and don’t think its one of my better ones, but my wife liked it.
