Soul Purpose

Quintessential sorrow thick and pasty
like zabaglione welling in your chest
happiness as extinct as the Natchez tribe
life of tremulous parsimonious solemn adaptation
precipice reached on your birthday alone
stress and solitude manage to enervate hope
the last little bits of sanity and sustenance lost
endless inveterate depression latching on
as you try to find your soul purpose

Rose Has Thorns

Happiness and love
Feeling so true
All I long for is you

Depression and pain
Hurt and sorrow
Again and again

A bushel of roses
For your love
All will end well

The roses have thorns
My heart is cut
Begging for a farewell

An end to this madness
Does not exist

I rule over all that is mine
Destruction comes from a whim
Malice born in every babies heart
Suffering is all we know

A kingdom of fences
Walling in the pain and sorrow
There is only today and no tomorrow
All that hates lives here

I am the Lord of Pain
I will you to suffer
I will you to sorrow
My will is my pain

Black Heart

Do you practice some dark art
Which makes your jet black heart
Some cruel spells and potent magic
That makes your evil mind tick

You laugh at pain and grin at sorrow
You kill today and slay tomorrow
Vile kings with broken crowns
Darkest heart brings only frowns

Will you find peace in your hatred?
Will enough blood ever be shed?
Drown on the tears of the newly lost
Your presence is known but at what cost?

You are born with a black heart
A wicked barbed venomous dart
Piercing those who wish for more
From a person who can never be pure

The Loss

Black seeping wound festering in my heart
Loss and grief flow like rivers
The Cataclysm of my world has begun
This day I thought would never come

Wishing upon a godless sky
As I continue to cry
My eyes it seems will never dry
How I wish that I would die

Living without you is just wrong
Nobody to sing with, our lives gone
Justice never seems to bring peace
In life’s cruel game, I am but a pawn

Tendrils of Pain

Tendrils of Pain

Woe be the agony growing in the pit of my stomach
Lanced through the torso by a virtual sword
I cry pardon the strains and pressure of the day
Spoken stresses provide no relief and peace

Should I keel over or collapse
These painful wounds continue to relapse
I find agony in each drink
Pain digested in every meal

A cure for these ailments must be sought
A war for my healing must be fought
For only if my mind is at peace
May my body heal from wounds so deep

Agony strikes and vomit rises
Doubling over again for today
I can’t stop but think paradise awaits
At the end of these troubled days
