Today’s poem took a very dark pessimistic and negative twist for me, positive words seemed to spin in a questioning negative way.  I am actually in good spirits when I wrote this but tapped into past disappointments and failures to draw forth the emotion to write this one.  Thanks to the following people for providing the 8 random words (in blue) today.

Questioning Achievement

What do you expect from winning this marathon?
To be awarded a shiny chunk silver or gold for your efforts?
Do you think you should be part of the illumanti?
Is there anyone there to share in this reciprocity?
Your life savings dumped into this race?
Are you so flustered only onomatopoeia bursts from your lips?
Is it all for nothing but some hidden agenda?
What have you really achieved?
After all is said and done what does it matter?
Whose lives have been saved?
Will your name be remembered?

I question your achievement.
