1st Place in WOOF contest for August 4th

I was floored to find that I won the Writers Offering Our Finest (WOOF) contest in 1st place this week.  There were some excellent writing and poems by other contributors, and I didn’t even think that my dark and grim poem about Burning Alive would make the top 5.   Congrats to the other winners who all had excellent literary pieces this week.

WOOF Results for August 21st

In a rare but welcome occurrence, a Non-fiction work takes the first place slot,with a review between Holly and William about Daniel X:  Watch the Skies.  Zorlone once again bests me in the poetry category with his masterful malicious appetite.  My random twitter poem “Broken Law” comes in 2nd place, with Jenn’s “Summer Fortitude” rounding out the third place in poetry category.  Congrats to all the winners this week, and we need more people to participate it seems like a regulars club now.

Zorlone cleans the first two slots in this weeks competition with two really good poems, congrats to all the winners this week.

I submit much of my poetry to the weekly WOOF contest because I like to see which of my writings people like and vote on.  I don’t win very often but am always thrilled when I do.  It is funny that this week my random twitter poem “Taste of A Hamburger” was voted in 3rd place.
