We Have A Choice

We have a choice to end this suffering
We have a choice to heal these wounds
We have a choice to lift up the helpless
We have a choice to feed the hungy

We have a choice to end these wars
We have a choice to fix this world
We have a choice to be more tolerant
We have a choice to learn from the past

We have a choice to build new bridges
We have a choice to right old wrongs
We have a choice to set life free
We have a choice to save our humanity

Examine My Life

From the darkest corner
of the smallest room
my thoughts are kept
on a life to reflect on
there are answers to find
to questions I don’t know

Is happiness a state of mind
or simple ignorant bliss
how does one know when they have it
does one have to be told
or do you feel it
or keep searching until you do

Stop being selfish and support others
is the mantra you are told
love is being a fallback
for feelings that unfold
you support and carry even more weight
when the person is unwhole

You try to understand
and confusion sets in deeper
are you trapped in this box
or tear the container and go free
is this what life has to offer
or is there a better way

Saving My Soul

My life is drowning in a sea of flame
All I feel is impairment and shame

Long lost love is now in tatters
Not sure at all what really matters

Show me a path or any kind of sign
I cant keep drowning my sorrows with wine

Birds fly when danger get too close
My spirit seems to become more morose

If I jump off this cliff will my spirit soar
or will I hit the ground and splatter in gore

Give me a sign on how to proceed
Show me a path and what I need

Maybe my purpose is to help others
not sure but it seems this is my druthers

A wandering soul looking for peace
My body flushed and turning cerise

What path shall I take keeps haunting me
Which way will it end I will just wait and see

Making Choices And Living Life

A choice was made and the effects cause sorrow
Do you live for today or think about tomorrow
Seeping wounds know not how to heal
Life is pain and you just learn how to deal

A moment for myself in the fabric of time
Is to much to ask for something that is mine
Why does it scathe you when I am just trying
I am partaking in life nobody is dying

You take everything so personally you could live too
You could not accept but I would rather be with you
Live for yourself and try it as well
A false future is not what I am trying to sell

Lets free ourselves from denied exploration
Enjoy everyday life without a vacation
Do not worry that I may never come home
Join me on this journey I don’t want to do it alone
