29 Jan 2010
Today’s whimsical poem is Burnt Sausage which is a poem about the life of a sausage overcooked. It was inspired by the 13 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@AttilaBS (coruscate), @drdon911 (retrospect), @filigreegirl (endurance), @blusol (sausage), @yellow0211 (peculiar), @stevejclark (celebrate), @HarleyQuinnAA (Ectoenzyme), @hammyhavoc (Circumlocution), @JenaIsle (diazotized), @rembeatz (recruitment), @sinned24 (barnyard), @digitalfilipino (love), @BloggerTalk (humiliated)Burnt Sausage
Recruitment began in the barnyard
meat ground and seasoned lightly
casing surrounding like an ectoenzyme
poor peculiar diazotized sausage
oil and fat sizzle and coruscate
endurance tested on a frying pan
now left on a plate, uneaten
alone, dejected and humiliated
lengthy circumlocution can describe why
who would celebrate the rubbery edges
or love the burnt flavor if consumed
in retrospect, it was overcooked-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Appetizers
The beauty in this fine food
puts you into a peculiar moodJovial taste buds buzzing in delight
lips rhythmical in a smacking fightThe last bite has you reminiscing
taste you have always been missingLike a chemical flavor enhancer
one that doesn’t cause cancerA little sick twisted depravity
a trajectory involving simple gravityCatching the piece in your mouth
it could have missed and went southOne tender morsel is all that is left
you would unfriend whomever commits this theftThe final piece ingested by you
meal consumed you then bid adieu-Poem by Dragon Blogger

a worthy feast for the OmniscientMeal devoured with systematic enjoyment
an almost trance like state of theomorphism
as fork keeps springing from plate to mouth
like a cricket jumping in excitement
no denial or lie told here, when you proclaim
this was the greatest Anniversary meal ever made-Poem by Dragon Blogger

The Onion
I cry clear tears if you cut me
You shall cry too in return
My lines run in circles
My rings too numerousI can be as sweet as an apple
I can be as potent as a brew
I can enhance flavor
or I can steal it from youSo bite into me
Savor my unique taste
carve me to decorate your plate
serve me as rings or bitsMy red skin can garnish
My pulp can satiate
On a hamburger I am divine
I am the onionPoem by Dragon Blogger

Twitter Random Poem For November 5th

05 Nov 2008
Okay everyone, here is the latest poem from my routine Tweet contests where I have people on twitter aka. Tweeple randomly cast out words for me to include in a poem I craft including those words. I usually run this contest on my lunch break every day on twitter.
Here is today’s Poem all words that were tweeted are highlighted in blue.
The Taste Of A Hamburger
I hope and pray lunch comes early today
My hunger stirs within my gut
A flavor so rich and intense
yet it allegedly causes harmCan a food be your soulmate?
I find myself wondering
as this craving is not of this world
I bid mahalo to the manufactured creation I was about to enjoyMy tastebuds soar like an eagle through the clouds
as I sink my teeth through the soft white bun
surely my cholesterol could not rise to near infinity
from eating such a dangerous yet tasty morselI absconded the place as soon as I ate
shamed that I enjoyed such a sinful pleasure
all of these feelings and all of this guilt
just from partaking in a succulent cheeseburger-Poem by Dragon Blogger
I would like to thank the following tweeple for helping me with random words today: @RobinJP, @Coyotesqrl, @carlsjr, @nicolebandes, @azredneck, @AZH2O, @Tylermoss, @elliotpappas, @Raillife
