Backstabber is a poem about a rocky friendship or relationship where one party was overheard talking horribly about the other person. This poem was inspired by the 16 words provided (in blue) by the following twitter followers:
@coffeetablepoet (fatuous), @Zorlone (manticore), @sinned24 (diatribe), @santasdevil (exposure), @KathrynVercillo (wet), @blusol (ace), @drdon911 (frigid), @_Borderline (twat), @SusanBerland (absentminded), @chuck72061 (suicidal), @shonie1966 (friendship), @HarleyQuinnAA (soliloquy), @hare_wood (enthusiasm), @Wwm_Shakespeare (mimic), @Piratelover22 (proviso), @worryknot (nonchalant)Backstabber
A frigid proviso friendship shattered by diatribe
vile soliloquy you were never supposed to hear stinging
being called an absentminded fatuous twat with enthusiasm
exposure to such savage vulgarity drives you almost suicidal
nonchalant monstrous manticore mimic stands dressed as a man
an ace driving the spade as wet blood streams from your back
as you learn to lose trust for the last time once again-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Like a hollow shell
a husk cast from a dead seed
my ghost whispers her nameFor the love we once had
a pair of ethereal tears
a phantom heart that cannot break
my ghost whispers her nameThe wrongs I have done
the damned rights I have wronged
eternal torment is my comfort
and my ghost whispers her name-Poem by Dragon Blogger

The Affair
How could you have an affair
showing my heart no mercy or care
Love was glass now broken pieces
jagged edges tear my soulPain is worse than death
I die a little more each day
A mistake can be forgiven
but not when it happens this wayAm I destined to live alone
with a heavy heart and soul
do I deserve to stay and suffer
and become hollowed outWill my feelings turn to stone
or my anger fade in peace
is love a fantasy or fiction
a meal on which I will never feastSo I try to heal these wounds
with a heart that barely beats
can we be saved and if so why
when it can happen again in a flashI love forever but I am tired
I want to sleep and sleep
awake from a dream of anguish
or never wake at allPoem by Dragon Blogger
