Paid Passion – Random Twitter Poem for September 22nd

22 Sep 2009

Today’s poem is about simple lust, pleasure and passion that happens to be paid for. I can’t explain why the last two lines ended up rhyming, the final two words provided were coaxed and cash, and my brain just formed them this way. I tried to write something else and just couldn’t do it.

This poem inspired by the 15 words provided (in blue) by the following twitter followers:
@AnnEvanston (Rumba), @filigreegirl (locket), @JenaIsle (emulsification), @TrinaMb (spilling), @concisionflux (coupling), @the_watchmaker (waffles), @coffeetablepoet (sophisticated), @blusol (absinthe), @wishinghearts (snubbed), @SusanBerland (inspire), @joshuaarnao (maniacal), @hectica (moose), @dreamon51 (lissome), @jeremylewit (coax), @delomos (cash)

Paid Passion

Skin bare and naked with one adornment
a single locket dangling between breasts
lissome beauty to inspire near maniacal lust
as desired kisses are playfully snubbed
sophisticated passion of coupling ensues
as animalistic as wild bears or moose
sweat like freely spilling absinthe
emulsification of love fluids
like syrup over hot waffles
a lovers rumba dances until dawn
and though you try to coax her to stay
she collects her cash and walks away

Today’s twitter poem is about a unique halloween costume for a boy named Frederick. It included the 14 random words (in blue) provided by the twitter followers below:
@Melissacw (marvel), @Zorlone (poignant), @Jemfyr (acorn), @jmedvm (elated), @concisionflux (xylograph), @blusol (cordially), @manitisle (relatives), @Jhbongos (Frederick), @anefallarme (superficial), @JenaIsle (diethyldichlorotrichloroethane), @SurfCityJay (distortion), @MetallmanX (sanguine), @purple_froggy (Halloween), @RemBeatZ (mismatched)

Frederick’s Costume

A superficial present brings holiday joy
relatives elated by such a marvel costume
a mismatched cross between doctor and superhero
as cordially able to save someone’s life
or create diethyldichlorotrichloroethane
complete with name in xylograph on the briefcase
a poignant sanguine disguise for Frederick
who is as excited as a chipmunk in an acorn field
face a distortion between surprise and smile
all that happens now is the wait for night
so trick or treating can commence this Halloween

Strange Little Mouse – Random Twitter Poem for September 18th

Strange Little Mouse is a tale about finding a small critter in the backyard and was inspired by the word mouse and erinaceous (which means hedgehog family). Thanks for the 9 random words (in blue) provided by the people who played the twitter poetry game today:
@rockalong (magnetism), @Jemfyr (Sparta), @purple_froggy (pencil), @AnnEvanston (bumblebee), @RemBeatZ (erinaceous), @purplefrogcat (mouse), @concisionflux (chatoyant), @SurfCityJay (acquisition), @manitisle (sincerity)

Strange Little Mouse

One day as a child, I was on a mission
to bring home a most unique acquisition

He was no bigger than a bumblebee
digging in roots, around my tree

Appearing as an erinaceous like mouse
I brought him home inside my house

As small as he was inside my home
it must have felt like Sparta or Rome

A playful critter he was, he kept nibbling
fancying and biting at my new chatoyant ring

Magnetism of food, finally getting him still
I measured him against the length of a pencil

Though this story seems a slight unreality
It is told with truth and pure sincerity

History of the Statues – Random Twitter Poem for September 16th

17 Sep 2009

Today is my 200th Random Twitter Poem, and the 18 random words (in blue) inspired me to write a modern day mythical tale. Thanks to the followers below who participated today:
@cheth (zenith), @anefallarme (patience), @Jemfyr (oracle), @RemBeatZ (lamprophony), @TrinaMb (duchess), @santasdevil (flight), @GinosEastDfld (lunch), @CynLuscious (audacious), @LStephenCleary (malaprop), @rockalong (revile), @concisionflux (anniversary), @RobinJP (landmark), @nottern (twitter), @IntegralChaotic (equilibrium), @blusol (judicious), @elizasea (exaltation), @AnnEvanston (impossibilities), @summerbreeze80 (conundrum)

History of the Statues

What was to be a landmark anniversary
celebrating a judicious wedding this day
interrupted at its zenith unexpectedly
by a woman dressed in the robes of an oracle

An audacious woman, patience depleted
and like a spoiled royal duchess
deprived of her noon lunch
started spewing malaprop and revile

Her lamprophony echoed across the hall
suddenly impossibilities started occurring
flashes and fire exploded from her fingertips
crowds took flight as equilibrium went spinning

The mystical exaltation subsequently ended
with the witch casting one final spell
the celebrating couple petrified in plain sight
their love encased in eternal stone

The chaos and confusion creating a twitter storm
fact and fiction blurred when reaching the world
now people pay visit each and every day and listen
to the history and conundrum of the royal lover statues

-Poem by Dragon Blogger

What do you think of my 200th Twitter Poem, leave me some feedback. Honestly, myself I read the poem back to myself several times and don’t think its one of my better ones, but my wife liked it.

16 Sep 2009

Today’s random twitter poem is about new relationships, awkwardness and the strides people overcome to find lasting love. Poem was inspired by the 11 random words (in blue) provided by the twitter followers below:
@LStephenCleary (frenzy), @filigreegirl (logorrhea), @blusol (sanctuary), @concisionflux (conundrum), @jmbuckingham (audio), @Jemfyr (tandem), @AnnEvanston (romantic), @TrinaMb (official), @hectica (huzzah), @SurfCityJay (sustaining), @RemBeatZ (neighbourhood)

Love Search

How many people in tandem
afflicted by a romantic conundrum
nervous frenzy induced logorrhea

while seeking the official sanctuary
of a sustaining, loving relationship
the neighbourhood of ’till death do us part

huzzah to those who have found their mate
songs singing in a harmonic audio tune
while for the rest, the search continues
