New Sunglasses is a comical poem about somebody looking cool in new shades (or at least thinking they do). It was inspired by the 12 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@tweric (wretched), @Ileane (Naysayers), @JeffHicks (scandal), @simetra7 (recombinant), @anahbird (cold), @Jan_Geronimo (renegade), @barbehr (waiting), @stevejclark (morass), @HarleyQuinnAA (garage), @Williamm49 (respectful), @ptaylor98 (whimsical), @drdon911 (eclectic)New Sunglasses
Commanding respectful greetings from naysayers
like a cold renegade invoking a wretched scandal
a whimsical eclectic fantasy dreamt quickly
when you see them waiting in the garage
begging to be removed from the morass
and feeling recombinant, a lost memory regained
as you slide them over your eyes slowly
vision dimmed, confidence brightening
you hastily exit the door strutting
in your slick new wholesale sunglasses-Poem by Dragon Blogger
Ever know somebody who had an object or belonging that made them think they were cool or on top of the world, what item was it? I know many people who have talked about their sunglasses being “designer brand” or walked around showing off a purse…etc.

26 Jan 2010
World Changes is a science fiction poem about some sort of atmospheric or alien event that affects the worlds atmosphere. It was inspired by the 15 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@AttilaBS (expectorate), @amy4669 (hyperbole), @SurfCityJay (documentation), @stevejclark (ostracize), @yearning4d_sky (thunderous), @sinned24 (coagulate), @anahbird (tribble), @eflorenced (eternal), @JeffHicks (vigor), @phoenix2life (world peace), @HarleyQuinnAA (satellite), @TrinaMb (absent), @filigreegirl (evince), @TheNonsenseBlog (punked), @amds007 (unbelievable)World Changes
Satellite imagery unbelievable and terrifying
thunderous amount of documentation and data
eternal world peace hangs in the balance
politicians quickly ostracize scientists
hoping to evince that society is being punked
yet dark green clouds coagulate around the globe
a phlegm coughed out like some alien expectorate
like a parchment stretched out over a tribble
the sun’s vigor fades and becomes absent
wishing this were nothing but vapid hyperbole
the day the world changes forever is upon us-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Transfigured is a poem about somebody serving or making a deal with a powerful entity only to be betrayed and transfigured as punishment. A poem inspired by the 15 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers:
@SusanBerland (ultimatum), @rMiLaNa (charm), @Robbie42601 (righteous), @houseofpuroy (betrayed), @anahbird (surreal), @simetra7 (Intimate), @stevejclark (jejunum), @amy4669 (thunking), @filigreegirl (nebula), @AttilaBS (leviathan), @davidfunk74 (champion), @ptaylor98 (transformation), @blusol (contrived), @Hazel8500 (prevaricate), @anefallarme (distractions)Transfigured
Betrayed by the righteous leviathan
failed ultimatum gives way to penalty
false champion of wicked intimate charm
immune to your prevaricate distractions
thunking contrived transformation takes place
prismatic nebula surrounding his body
organs transfigured from brain to jejunum
surreal magic leaving you disfigured
another twisted puppet in his empire-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Carcass – Random Twitter Poem for Jan 20th

20 Jan 2010
Carcass is a poem about a corpse that is being feasted on by lions while vultures try to steal their share. It was inspired by the 15 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter followers.
@KathrynVercillo (plumage), @omgzam (Ducati), @Ileane (relinquish), @minnie_madz (persistence), @AttilaBS (provoke), @anahbird (apple), @stevejclark (turnabout), @Jemfyr (nuance), @therealfracas (ptyalism), @ReagenAllen (twitter), @Poetic_line (penultimate),
@TrinaMb (viable), @Sara_Valor (lamplight), @UnbelievaBeal (extrapolate), @filigreegirl (entre nous)Carcass
Vultures twitter about entre nous, plumage rustling
a penultimate feast invoking ptyalism around
yet great cats won’t relinquish possession
massive throats purring like Ducati engines
eyes easily able to extrapolate intentions
the birds turnabout and provoke a nuance reaction
cats startled faces aglow like fire from a lamplight
seizing their viable chance with razor beaks
an Adam’s apple torn out and swallowed quickly
before the cats close in and frighten them off
the dance repeats for claim of the carcass
and persistence eventually pays off-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Slave in Service – Random Twitter Poem for Jan 11th

11 Jan 2010
Today’s poem Slave in Service depicts many potential meanings, though I thought of like a pseudo cyberpunk future where people were enslaved, it could be interpreted different ways. This poem was inspired by the 12 random words (in blue) submitted today by the following twitter people:
@KathrynVercillo (sleepiness), @simetra7 (extravagant), @filigreegirl (nebbish), @robertbravery (frustrated), @jodapoet (paresthesia), @Piratelover22 (radially), @anefallarme (exhausted), @azredneck (margin), @CommentLuv (screen), @RemBeatZ (brewing), @hammyhavoc (nidificate), @wishinghearts (editorial)To help you interpret the poem, I will include meanings/definations of the 3 words I had to look up today:
nidificate = desire to build a nest / building a nest
paresthesia = unexplained numbness or tingling in the skin or body
nebbish = fool, idiot, someone with bad luckSlave in Service
extravagant activities tiring
frustrated sleepiness brewing
poor exhausted nebbish collapsing
thinking only to nidificate quickly
overworked limbs suffering paresthesia
screen of health reveals the obvious
knowing the conclusion you push yourself
running radially with last ounces of energy
yet you collapse at the encampment margin
final words and thoughts silenced quickly
no editorial or notice of your passing
just another used up slave in service-Poem by Dragon Blogger
