Mind assaulted by some arcane tornado
hedonistic interdimensional visions
a fondly remembered schizophrenia illusion
abandoned like some conspicuous truant poetry
head spinning like a rampant swivel chair
thick dreams clinging to your damaged psyche
like Cheese Whiz clings to a wheat cracker
mouth swollen as if stuffed with spinifex
you enunciate a gibberish cougar growl
followed by a nonsensical malapropism
slowly the feeling ebbs, normalcy returning
you spend a moment regathering composure
while you start rebuilding some sanity

a quandary over the cleanup ensues
kids mumble over returning to school
a ski franchise braces for a dive
as everything starts to thaw out

as you commutate the beam by flipping a switch
heat expands feeling like a flamethrower
success reached by some derivative intuition
test being ready, ergo you doff the screen

imagine the potential of things to come

A gruff antediluvian man sits in sorrow
health draining slowly like a withering grass lawn
glory of past fantasies full of opulent luck
