The Dark Ring is a poem about a prostitution ring and from the point of view of a ring leader or pimp who runs such a business. It also includes a “phrase” submitted instead of a word by one twitter follower and I decided to include it for fun. Thanks to the 13 submissions today (in blue) from the following twitter players:
@DaneBlogger (The more I get lost), @GeB0i (sodomy), @weirdopoet (turgid), @PottyMouthCon (seminal), @libertytax13660 (taxes), @filigreegirl (numismatic), @AttilaBS (necromancer), @Blazing_Minds (Gourmet), @omgzam (SEO), @Williamm49 (posthumous), @Jan_Geronimo (Shackle), @SurfCityJay (reward), @pauldsimpson (extortion)The Dark Ring
The more I get lost in prostitution
new deals found through simple SEO
a twisted necromancer of extortion
lost in turgid gourmet sodomy
that ends in a seminal release
shackle of a numismatic exchange
bitter reward as painful as taxes
yet they all pay and come back for more
shame and dishonor is my posthumous legacy
but for now I reap the rewards of wealth-Poem by Dragon Blogger

@Jemfyr (tawdry), @anahbird (blizzard), @GeB0i (love), @filigreegirl (exasperation), @AttilaBS (indelible), @blm03 (Earthquake), @stevejclark (incommodious), @anefallarme (irritation), @wblue74 (perculator), @Williamm49 (nostaligia), @KristieGlascock (supplemental), @HarleyQuinnAA (contortionist), @hammyhavoc (spatiotemporal)Today’s poem is also an audio podcast read aloud by myself:
[powerpress image="http://www.wandererthoughts.com/images/wandererthoughts300.jpg"]Emotionless
Indelible earthquake of tawdry love
spatiotemporal twisting contortionist bodies
incommodious affection a mere irritation
exasperation at the blizzard response
peculator of a once trusting heart
now nothing but icy supplemental lust
weary nostalgia where feeling existed
just a cold embrace, emotionless-Poem by Dragon Blogger

Our Boston Terrier
- Light Poems
-
19 Nov 2009
In honor of our beloved dog who had to be put to sleep after his health was too badly impacted by constant violent seizures, I wrote this poem to honor his memory to our family. This was the best dog and family friend anyone could ask for.

Our Boston Terrier
A striped white head
On brindle colored body
Majestic stance of a statue
Energy level of the godsYou ran through our hearts
You ran through our soul
A child not of human flesh and bone
But of our spirit and familyA smile graced your face
A playful bark every day
You are the joy of our home
You bring smiles every dayYou bring so much love
Tender heart care too much
Even when ill you try to comfort
You deserve the comfort nowSweet, Tender dog of ours
May you find peace in the end
You deserve to run fields
And chase lizards forever in timeThank you for the memories
And sharing our warm home
Each time you had an accident
Perhaps we expected too muchEight years was surely not enough
Your friendship and companionship too short
You were the best friend on four legs ever
You were like another child to usDedicated To Our Loving Boston Terrier: Gouda Emmenthaler Germino
