Manufacturing – Random Twitter Poem for March 1st

twitter poems
01 Mar 2010

Manufacturing is a poem that depicts a factory or machine shop late at night where the parts it creates are becoming obsolete. Inspired by the 12 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter players today:
@GeB0i (equanimity), @Williamm49 (bibliographic), @dreamon51 (glittery), @KathrynVercillo (worthless), @malenko10 (nightshift), @KookiesKrumble (succulent), @blusol (fruition), @anahbird (panda), @filigreegirl (sigh), @stevejclark (scion), @Jemfyr (mousse), @AttilaBS (cantankerous)

Manufacturing

Cantankerous nightshift worker
slopping up succulent dessert mousse
like a panda on bamboo rampage

Machinery groans a sigh of equanimity
as glittery steel and iron toil away
a bibliographic scene of manufacturing

Once the epitome of fruition and wealth
construction now wheezes on nearly worthless parts
scion of technology having outgrown the parent

A bell rings signaling the breaks end
the fatigued man returns to hard labor
wondering how long until he is antiquated

Repair – Random Twitter Poem for Feb 24th

twitter poems
24 Feb 2010

Repair is a poem about robotics and an invention to help repair the infrastructure (roads, buildings…etc) using small insect like robots that can do the work. It was inspired by the 11 random words (in blue) provided by the following twitter players today:
@AttilaBS (enthral), @purple_froggy (insurance), @benjphoto (bucolic), @DaneBlogger (remote control), @blusol (flywheel), @malenko10 (compression), @filigreegirl (fructuous), @wishinghearts (puffery), @jodapoet (ecstatic), @cupcakes5 (Wiles), @RyanHanzel (ant)

Repair

The remote control invention
uses technology compression

When they told us “you can’t”
create a robot the size of an ant

A flywheel and scientist wiles
brought fructuous ecstatic smiles

No puffery or praise is required
enthral of what nature itself inspired

Passive bucolic servant creation
insurance for the future of the nation

Repairing roads and buildings with ease
with robots just larger than some fleas

Worthless Certification – Random Twitter Poem for June 12th

twitter poems
12 Jun 2009

This poem is dedicated to everyone who has trained and received some sort of paper certification only to find out that it didn’t really help them in their current employment or to find employment. (I am a SUN Certified Engineer, so kind of spoofing them a bit) Thanks to the following twitter followers for the 11 words submitted (in blue) today:

@anefallarme (misconception), @twitlaureate (celebration), @filigreegirl (megrim), @worryknot (perspicacious), @JR_NUERGE (leaflet), @GemmaBeads (serendipity), @evliving (goldfish), @RemBeatZ (certification), @BloggerTalk (SUN), @Jan_Geronimo (thesis), @solitarypanda (flabbergasted)

Worthless Certification

Whats with the celebration?
a simple leaflet
floppy piece of paper
they call a SUN certification

Serendipity for now
megrim sure to set in soon
a perspicacious misconception
flabbergasted, what will you do now?

You have paid your dues
trained and completed your thesis for what?
in the end your paper qualifies you
for the simple task of selling goldfish
