What was to be a landmark anniversary
celebrating a judicious wedding this day
interrupted at its zenith unexpectedly
by a woman dressed in the robes of an oracleAn audacious woman, patience depleted
and like a spoiled royal duchess
deprived of her noon lunch
started spewing malaprop and revileHer lamprophony echoed across the hall
suddenly impossibilities started occurring
flashes and fire exploded from her fingertips
crowds took flight as equilibrium went spinningThe mystical exaltation subsequently ended
with the witch casting one final spell
the celebrating couple petrified in plain sight
their love encased in eternal stoneThe chaos and confusion creating a twitter storm
fact and fiction blurred when reaching the world
now people pay visit each and every day and listen
to the history and conundrum of the royal lover statues-Poem by Dragon Blogger
What do you think of my 200th Twitter Poem, leave me some feedback. Honestly, myself I read the poem back to myself several times and don’t think its one of my better ones, but my wife liked it.

Rescue From The Witch
Feel the sun burn the night
A startled bird fixed in flight
Angry goblins within the woods
Hidden hunters in dark grey hoodsA girl is lost in a witches cave
Sentenced to be a broken slave
Hunters seek to restore her life
One still seeks her as his wifeBut the goblin queen is well prepared
A wealth of traps, the hunters snared
A knife flashes in the dark
The hollow cries of a larkOne sole hunter cuts free
Faced with death, he does not flee
The hag descends and her fury dreaded
The hunter slashes, the witch beheadedThe young girl found, a shining pearl
He picks her up and spins a whirl
A thousand hugs and kisses found
As he carries her away without a sound-Poem by Dragon Blogger

The Witches Brew – Random Twitter Poem for Friday May 8th

08 May 2009
Today’s random twitter poem is one of my common themes about being careful what you wish for, it is the story of a woman seeking a witch to brew her a potion to make your prettier, younger or healthier, only to find that it was a trick in the end. Thanks to the following twitter followers for the 12 random words today (in blue):
@coffeetablepoet (amazing), @DavidMercury (pleasure), @Rinari (dulcet), @Catherine1016 (disaster), @santasdevil (Spiderweb), @numbnuggets (funk), @DVDsnapshot (stew), @anefallarme (patience), @shemah (enterprise), @MeghnaK (fabulous), @ashchuan (polygamy), @Zorlone (veneer)
The Witches Brew
In a small hovel, a witches brew
Thick and chunky, though not a stewUnusual dulcet aroma stimulates
Wondering what amazing creation awaits?Gnarled old woman clothed like a monk
Stirs the mixture solemnly, as if in a funkA witch, with no risk of marriage or polygamy
As she is the type who is quite unfriendlyDirt and grime are to be found everywhere
Even a spiderweb covering a worn veneer chairHoping the potion shall bring you pleasure
The effects beyond anything you can measurePatience now is surely required
Something not so easily acquiredThe fabulous brew brought slowly to a simmer
Would you be young again, or maybe just slimmerProfitable enterprise this witch could run
Just selling magical potions by the tonYour portion is served and you drink in a hurry
At first nothing, then your vision becomes blurryDisaster happens as your body starts to shake
Horribly transforming into a small coiled snake-Poem by Dragon Blogger
