Thaw Out is about a warm front moving in to clear away a massive ice storm and it was inspired by the 22 random words (in blue) played by the following twitter followers:
@poetisk (franchise), @Jan_Geronimo (splinter), @Williamm49 (sophisticated), @KristieGlascock (conspiracy), @Oneunder2001 (Overhead), @AttilaBS (scalable), @shonie1966 (flirt), @Piratelover22 (liquefied), @filigreegirl (tablature), @HarleyQuinnAA (egotistical), @KathrynVercillo (fluttering), @Kristen_Howe (frozen), @beamkiss (mumble), @israelimom (winter), @stevejclark (furor), @TrinaMb (quandary), @SurfCityJay (dive), @RyanHanzel (cream), @hammyhavoc (Nebular), @GarbageManBrian (coconut), @azredneck (racing), @KathySperlBell (abduction)Thaw Out
An egotistical lingering ice storm overhead
a flirt with abnormally high temperatures
temporary abduction of winter’s bitter cold
fluttering of branches as leaves shed weight
discarded snowballs the size of a coconut
the frozen winter treat liquefied rapidly
icicles melt and splinter while falling
dripping nebular water like dirty cream
scalable runoff racing in conspiracy
the road transfigured into tablature
sophisticated furor over the timing
a quandary over the cleanup ensues
kids mumble over returning to school
a ski franchise braces for a dive
as everything starts to thaw out-Poem by Dragon Blogger

I was at the gym on a leg abduction machine when you put out the final call for words. It’s always fun to see how you put them together in such a unique poem.
Lol great poem man, first time seeing a random twitter poem (not sure if you have any previous ones). I enjoyed it

Thank you, today was my 292nd Random Twitter poem, here is the link for the whole category if you want to read previous ones. http://www.wandererthoughts.com/category/twitter-poems/
It thrills me that an ice storm can be such a flirt with abnormally high temperature. Well, that’s me and secret hoard of impish delights. Well done, Justin.
You’re very good at this. Has there been a time when you’re driven almost nuts how to weave strange words in the poem? Don’t you sometimes wish you can send some ice storm to freeze this contributor’s butt for confounding you with the least poetic word?

I sometimes get a word that is so difficult to work in my poem theme, that I have started a new line with that hard word, and led me to write a completely different poem than the one I started with. This has only happened twice out of 292 poems though.
It came out real good! Thank you for letting us be a part of your poetry.
