Today’s poem I had to put together quicker than normal as I have to use my lunch break to get a haircut and didn’t have the time to write a poem during it. Today’s poem consisted of 10 words (in blue) and is written as prose, the story of a man needing to find and befriend a pegasus to save the one he loves. Partially inspired by Clash of the Titans, but I also had the Fire Mares in mind from the movie Krull when writing the poem as well. Thanks to the following people for playing this game:

The Hunt For The Pegasus

As if watching a movie sequel
feeling like a predator chasing
forlorn future if you should fail

Diligence finally pays off
a creature so prized and wonderous
that your dandy outfit mocks its majesty

Would she realize your intentions are pure
and you need her gift of flight
to save a love that will soon be lost

A fit of sneezing comes over you
curse your luck, camouflage blown
the beast startles and starts to rear

Spinning out of control like a project over budget
you throw your palms up toward the beast
pleading for her to stay and help you

Whatever magic you held in your heart
the beast seems to listen
you calm her as she spreads her wings

While mounting the blessed creature
and taking flight through the clouds
you hatch a rescue plan in your head

Your lady would be saved this day
and you would be forever grateful
to the magical beast known as Pegasus
