The Intruder

Special intruder attacks your umbrageous body
shifting form like a kaleidoscope rainbow
your nose and mouth a pipeline to infection
immunity boggled by the swine variation
temperature rising like a flame with no escape
compassionate loved ones bring swift relief
in the form of hot alabaster fluids in a mug
liquid smelling and tasting like rotten dogfish
coating the throat as an electoplate coats gold
righteousness of your immune system bolstered
infection meeting its end in a matter of days
