Tip the Glass is a poem about cheering up when depressed or things aren’t going well in life. It is an uplifting poem meant as a “hang in there” poster. It was inspired by the 10 random submissions (in blue) provided by the following twitter players:
@PurpleBEffect (birdie), @HarleyQuinnAA (Placebo), @DaneBlogger (Russian literature), @filigreegirl (findings), @delomos (junk), @vestacaro (monotonous), @stevejclark (pentagonal), @Peter_Pan_ (pirate), @HarleyPan (radio), @sinned24 (bipedal)
Tip the Glass
When your findings are more depressing
than dramatic Russian literature
and pirate treasure hoard
turns out to be junk
A pentagonal pill to end it all
is nothing but a placebo
with life’s pain blaring
monotonous radio static
Holding true to one simple fact
we bipedal humans all have
enduring strength in spirit
and hope if not faith
Life will throw you a birdie
if you just look for it
when sadness rains a storm
tip the glass upside down
