Twists and Turns

Twists and turns,
which way to go?
Where will the river flow?

Jagged rocks along the way
sailing past the years
nothing left but dry tears

One path straight into the sea
another flows into a bend
twisted path and a shallow end

Heart is heavy but spirit strong
bumps and scars along the way
knowledge is power, they always say
