Once again a challenge from Voices in our Heads to poets to write a poem including the line”Verbum Me Vocat” which in latin means “Word Calls Me”, after reading the challenge I was immediately inspired to write the following, which I just wrote about 5 minutes ago.
Unfinished Book
An unsung story
plagiarizes my sanity
my heart begs to go freeLocked up
such a small world
a typewriter my nemesis
my brain uncoilsDid I even have family
my memories escape me
while in this trance
my regrets unnoticedVerbum me vocat
and I listen
for I cannot
sleepThe book must be finished

This is a good one dragonblogger. I am still waiting for tomorrow to post mine.
“a typewriter my nemesis
my brain uncoils”
I went back to the poem and this one struck me. Just like a snake preparing to pounce at his prey.
