coffee

Who Will Make Coffee?

A volunteer arrives
eager for the diversion

hot scalding water
flowing through its jugular

Finnimbrun machine tolting
coffee grinds near incineration

like a stalker waiting
we all snatch our cups

grabbing the pitcher
like a raptor takes prey

we intake our daily dose
as we make our recovery

from the fatigue of our toils
and an endless supply of work
